IT’S YOUNG< AND IT NEEDS TO LEARN!
This lithe young slave has been selected by its owner to become a pony to pull his cart on short journeys where the larger more heavily muscled older slaves are appropriate. As we can see, though, he has not yet learned that as a slave his only option to obey! So when the trainer first presents him with his training harness and bit, he refuses it until a hard slap from the trainer reminds him of his status and fitting can continue.
